Residential Roof Repair
Residential Roof Repair in Pasadena & Greater Houston
Dealing with a roof leak, damaged shingles, or storm damage? BD Roofing & Contracting provides residential roof repair services to help homeowners identify roofing problems and determine the right repair.

What We Repair
Common Residential Roof Repairs
The right repair depends on the roof's condition and the actual source of the problem. Not every roof can be repaired — but many common problems can be fixed without replacing the whole roof.
Roof Leak Detection & Repair
Water stains on a ceiling are rarely directly below the problem. We trace the leak back along the roof to where water is actually getting in — a penetration, flashing, damaged shingles or a worn area — and repair the source rather than only the symptom.

Missing, Lifted, Cracked or Damaged Shingles
Shingles that have blown off, lifted, creased or cracked leave the layers underneath exposed. Where the surrounding roof is in serviceable condition, damaged shingles can often be replaced and sealed in the affected area.

Storm & Wind Damage Repairs
High winds and heavy storms can tear shingles loose and open up the roof surface. After a storm we look at the roof to identify the damaged areas and recommend the repairs needed to get the roof watertight again.

Pipe Boot & Roof Penetration Repairs
The rubber collars around plumbing vents crack and split as they age in the sun, letting water run down the pipe into the attic. Replacing a failed pipe boot is one of the most common residential roof repairs.

Flashing, Roof Edge & Ridge Issues
Flashing at walls, chimneys, valleys and roof edges directs water off the roof, and ridge and hip cap shingles seal the high points where two roof slopes meet. When flashing loosens, corrodes or loses its seal, or when caps loosen or are held only by sealant, water can get in behind them. Repairs focus on resealing or replacing the affected flashing or caps and the shingles around them.

Roof Vent & Penetration-Related Leaks
Exhaust vents, turbine vents, ridge vents and other openings in the roof each depend on a proper seal. Failed sealant, loose fasteners or damaged vent bases are frequent sources of small, persistent leaks.

Minor Repairs & Maintenance Inspections
Some problems are caught before they leak. A maintenance inspection looks for worn sealant, exposed fasteners, damaged shingles and similar issues so small repairs can be made early.

Local Roof Repair
Roof Repair for Pasadena & Houston-Area Homes
Homes in Pasadena and across the Greater Houston area see strong winds, heavy rain and frequent thunderstorms. Wind can lift and tear shingles, and heavy rain quickly finds any opening — a cracked pipe boot, loose flashing or a damaged section of shingles. Strong sun also ages rubber boots and sealants over time.
That is why many residential leaks start at small details. Finding and repairing those areas early can keep a minor problem from turning into damaged decking or interior damage. See the communities we serve, or learn about our broader residential roofing services, including inspections, maintenance and replacement when a repair is no longer practical.
FAQ
Residential Roof Repair Questions
What should I do if my roof is leaking?
Protect the inside of the home first — move belongings, place a container under the drip and avoid going onto a wet roof yourself. Note where the water is appearing and when it happens, then contact us to arrange an inspection so the source can be found.
Can damaged shingles be repaired without replacing the entire roof?
Often, yes. When the damage is limited and the rest of the roof is in serviceable condition, damaged shingles can usually be replaced in the affected area. If the roof is widely deteriorated, a repair may not be practical, and we will tell you that.
Can a pipe boot or flashing issue cause a roof leak?
Yes. Cracked pipe boots and loose or unsealed flashing are among the most common causes of residential roof leaks, and they are typically repairable without major work.
Should I have my roof inspected after a storm?
If there was strong wind or a severe storm, or you notice shingles in the yard, new stains or leaks, an inspection is a good idea. Some damage is not visible from the ground.
How do you determine whether a roof can be repaired?
We look at the source of the problem, the extent of the damage and the overall condition of the surrounding roof. A repair makes sense when the problem is localized and the rest of the roof is sound. A definitive answer requires an inspection.
